While watching Emma Watson deliver her powerful UN speech, mentioned in yesterday's post, I also couldn't help but take note of her power dress: image via This belted Dior coat dress is impeccable and was the perfect choice for the Goodwill Ambassador. I like to have a few power pieces that I can pull out for an important interview or a big meeting. Nothing feels better than when your look is so tailored and polished that you feel like there should be a Motown song playing as your soundtrack - channel your Olivia Pope. Xo,

This past weekend was amazing! As much as I didn't love the strange September heat wave we got here in Boston, I did love a decision that was made. My boyfriend and I have decided to move in with each other and I couldn't be more excited! Now I have decor on the brain and thread counts and plush towels, ahh too much. Anyways - a few other things were on my mind this weekend and here are a few: This video from the HeForShe campaign where Emma Watson delivered an impressive and direct speech. It really raised awareness and brought a different perspective to the topic. Loading up on some cute phone cases from Amazon - you can buy in bulk for super cheap! Discovered this recipe for some Brownie Batter Cookies from my girl Trisha Yearwood - I know what I will be bringing to the dinner party I attend! Have a good week!!
Xo, Carly The Cream Sweater...A cream sweater works so well in the fall. It's a perfect basic for layering so you can pull in color with scarves, accessories, or even a nice leather jacket. Here are some of my favorites and just the look of them makes me want to get all cozy: Xo,
Carly Everyone loves a go to staple in their closet, and a classic black pump is one of them! I love a black pump for work, date night, or even a fun night out with your girls! It can add polish to any look you're going for. Here are a few of my favorites: Xo,
Carly Image via The beginning of the season is always so busy with work and social commitments that I haven't had a moment to just sit down and work on what I love! Well, tomorrow is the first day of fall. And as Mr. F. Scott Fitzgerald said "Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall." What are you planning for this fall? I'm planning on posting a lot more :-) Oh, and learning how to make a pie from scratch!
